MOHAVE COUNTY – Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs has proclaimed April 2026 as Community College Month, recognizing the critical role colleges like Mohave College play in expanding opportunity, strengthening the workforce and driving economic growth across the state.
TOPOCK/GOLDEN SHORES – VFW Post 6306 will be hosting a parade to honor America’s freedoms and celebrate the 100th birthday of Route 66 on Saturday, April 11, beginning at 10 a.m. The event will feature a special program recognizing veterans and local youth participation in patriotic activities as well as special honors for three community veterans over 90 years old.
KINGMAN – On Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m., Beale Street Theater proudly shines the spotlight on the incredible women of our community with a dazzling evening of entertainment featuring The Kingman Divas.
The City of Kingman is notifying residents and motorists of temporary street closures in downtown Kingman for the first First Friday event of the season, taking place on Friday, April 3, 2026. Street closures will be in effect from 3:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will include Beale Street between 1st Street and 6th Street, extending north and south to the alleyway. 4th Street will also be closed from the alley north of Beale Street to Andy Devine Avenue.
The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes during the event.
KINGMAN — What began as a story about an upcoming Honor Flight for Korean and Vietnam War veterans quickly turned into something more personal — the story of a 96 year old Kingman man whose daily routine and lifelong service have made him a quiet fixture in the community.
