As part of the ongoing effort to improve City streets and intersections at Lake Havasu Avenue, beginning Monday, April 22 at 6:00 a.m. through Wednesday, April 24 at 6:00 p.m. , the intersection of Swanson Avenue and Lake Havasu Avenue in all directions is closed to allow for the demolition of the intersection and construction of the new intersection. A detour is in place and the public is requested to use caution and follow the detour signs when traveling near the construction area. Galaxy is performing for the Sounds of Kingman concert at Metcalfe Park, 315 W Beale St, Kingman. The concert begins at 4 p.m. April 28. The cost of admission is free. Originating in Florida in the 70s, Galaxy has been performing to large crowds. The songs of Galaxy over the decades have developed into an eclectic blend of the rhythm & blues, folk, country, and rock styles.

There will be an Easter Sunday breakfast benefiting Kingman’s homeless, veterans, and civilians on Easter Sunday. The event will feature food, drinks, an Easter Egg hunt for the kids, music, and more. The event will be held from 8 a.m. – 1 1 a.m. at the Thunder-Rode Event Center, 102 E. Beale St., located directly across the street from Locomotive Park.
