MOHAVE COUNTY – In April and May 2019, several cases of hepatitis A were identified in Mohave County. Hepatitis A is a serious and contagious liver disease caused by the hepatitis A virus. The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation and representatives from all seven Colorado River Basin states gathered Monday, May 20, and signed completed drought contingency plans for the Upper and Lower Colorado River basins.
