Lane restrictions on US 93 near State Route 97 set to continue through June

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead and allow for extra travel time because of long-term lane restrictions on US 93 near State Route 97 in Yavapai County. Motorist should slow down and use caution around construction crews and equipment while these restrictions are in place through June: Southbound US 93 will be narrowed to one lane only (right lane closed) between milepost 158 and milepost 160. House fire destroys home; injures two

Two people suffered burn injuries in a Tuesday fire that destroyed a double wide mobile home in north Kingman. Personnel from the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District (NACFD) responded at 6:31 a.m. to the incident in the 2200 block of Northfield Avenue.    The structure was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on scene.     “Both occupants escaped the residence and were found outside by firefighters,” a news release stated. They were transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center for treatment.    Officials said crews knocked the fire down in 30 minutes and that extensive mop-up and overhaul operations were conducted.
