Starting the week of June 24, the green recycling bins located around the city will be removed, centralizing recycling drop off to one location: Kingman Public Works, 3700 East Andy Devine Avenue. Beginning July 1, the new drop off hours will be: 7a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday. Constant load contamination has caused the city to make these changes to the Kingman EZ Recycling program. This Father’s Day, skip the necktie and give dad a life jacket. Over the past five years, five men have lost their lives at Lake Mead and Lake Mohave on Father’s Day Weekend. The Journey of Hope South Team is a group of 20 cyclist and six crew members biking across the country in support of those with disabilities and they will be arriving in Kingman on Friday, June 21. The Journey of Hope team will be arriving after a 60-mile bike ride from Lake Havasu City, part of a 4,370-mile cycling event across the country. The Journey of Hope team consists of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity men from across the country. The team will cycle an average of 75 miles per day ending at the United States Capitol on August 10. Every…
