Legendary WWII Navajo Code Talkers honored as part of Lake Havasu City Memorial Walkway

A memorial walkway, which extends under the famously relocated London Bridge, will now feature bricks honoring the service of the legendary World War II Navajo Code Talkers. At 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, the Havasu Freedom Foundation will unveil 33 bricks along the walkway dedicated to the instrumental work of the code talkers; however, only 29 bricks will bear names as national historians continue to research the backgrounds of four additional military members involved in the once top-secret military program. Involved attorneys and Judge Billy Sipe agrees that mystery clouds the case of a Las Vegas man who claimed to be on a religious pilgrimage when discovered completely naked on a Chloride hillside more than a year ago. Pegasus Group Holdings, a technology infrastructure corporation that develops renewable energy projects, today announced that it has selected Mohave County, Arizona for the development of its new $3 billion, 340 Megawatt solar powered data center. No definite resolution on animal control issues

There were more issues than answers as Mohave County Supervisors spoke about short and long-term animal control issues during their Monday board meeting in Kingman. The board ultimately approved a modified version of a staff proposal to take over management of the shelter in Kingman, at least temporarily, but they continued discussion and possible action regarding possible construction of a new facility to replace it.
