Bullhead City Council asks voters to approve funding for EPCOR water system

Bullhead City – The Bullhead City Council voted unanimously July 16, to ask voters to decide whether the city should issue debt to acquire EPCOR’s water system. The move follows many months of complaints from Bullhead City residents about EPCOR’s rate increases and which resulted in the city’s intervention into EPCOR’s recent rate increase case before the Arizona Corporation Commission. In March 2019, the city launched a thorough investigation to determine the value of EPCOR’s water system. Fogging update: surveillance leads to adult mosquito control

Mohave County, AZ.  Mosquito surveillance conducted this week by the Mohave County Environmental Health Division (MCEHD) revealed the following locations that met the protocol to conduct fogging. The MCEHD uses the CDC’s recommended matrix as a guide of when to fog.   FOGGING: Adult mosquito control application will begin on Thursday evening July 18th around 8:00 p.m., weather permitting and continue throughout the night. Baron Pest Control was awarded the contract to provide fogging services within Mohave County and will be conducting the ground fogging application. Areas in Mohave Valley to fog include: · Laguna Road from Mountain View Road to Vanderslice Road and south to Maverick Drive. This…

AZGFD to participate in multi-agency OUI checkpoint on Colorado River

Game and Fish: Boat safe, boat smart, boat sober   KINGMAN, Ariz. — The Arizona Game and Fish Department will participate in a multi-agency enforcement patrol this weekend, pursuing people operating their vessels under the influence (OUI) of alcohol or drugs on the Colorado River.  AZGFD, together with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and the US Fish and Wildlife Service, will be on the lookout for watercraft operators violating the law and who are found to be above Arizona’s OUI legal limit of a .08 blood-alcohol content.
