HAVASU CITY – At approximately 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, several citizens reported a brush fire just north of Windsor State Beach on London Bridge Road. The first arriving fire company reported a three- to five-acre fire burning south towards the north end of the Jet Ski launch ramp. The fire was moving towards Wet Monkey Powersport Rentals shop where several pontoon boats and personal watercrafts were parked. Three Engine Companies and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire. KINGMAN – Beverly Avenue will be closed between Western Ave. and Fairfax Street Wednesday, October 23 and potentially Thursday, October 24, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. A private developer will be connecting to a city sewer line. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Law enforcement continue to seek the public assistance in identifying a deceased man who was found floating between two rental boats near London Bridge Beach on Saturday, Oct. 5. The man is Asian, about 224 pounds, 5 feet 8 inches tall, black/graying hair, brown eyes, between 50 and 60 years old. He was found wearing a blue polo shirt, green tank top, blue jeans. The 1,200+ bags of candy given by the foundation will be handed out at the MCSO Public Outreach Program’s 2nd Annual Candy Crawl from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31. No injuries in Hungry Horse fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – At approximately 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, October 20, bystanders reported a fire on the 3900 block of Hungry Horse Dr. A neighbor smelled smoke and discovered smoke and flames in the garage. The occupants were notified and evacuated the residence. The first arriving fire company reported a working fire with heavy smoke and flames in the garage and possible extension into the attic. Four Engine Companies, one Truck Company, two Battalion Chiefs, and a Division Chief responded to the fire and gained control within 30 minutes. The occupants evacuated the house safely.
