Activities will reduce the threat of wildfire to adjacent communities KINGMAN – The Bureau of Land Management’s Kingman Field Office, in cooperation with the Pine Lake Fire Department, Mohave County Parks Department and Mohave County Department of Risk and Emergency Management, will conduct prescribed burning near the community of Pine Lake as well as inside Hualapai Mountain Park, starting in early December and continuing through early February, as weather and fuel conditions allow. No injuries reported in garage fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, , a garage fire was reported in the 3000 block of Sombrero Dr. The first arriving fire company reported fire coming from the garage doors. Four engine companies, one truck company, and a battalion chief responded to the scene and gained control of the fire within 15 minutes. The occupants evacuated the house safely. There were no reported injuries. Ten CERT members responded to the fire to assist with rehab duties for the firefighters. Dog thieves apprehended; dogs’ owner still at large

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Police arrested two of the three suspects pictured in surveillance video breaking into the animal shelter and stealing two dogs early Thursday morning, Nov. 28. Detectives received several tips regarding the incident, which led police to a residence in the 5600 block of Pearl Street in Fort Mohave. According to a Bullhead City presss release, on Friday night, the suspects Amber Dawn Tourney, 36, and her boyfriend Travis Wade Ramey, 20, were both taken into custody.
