Projects to be heard at BOS meeting FT. MOHAVE – The first was rejected and the second was approved when rival Fort Mohave solar power project proposals were heard during Wednesday’s Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. The Commission first took up an Elite Southwest Holdings project that is quite similar to the one it voted down last December. Following a call with the 30 Clubs, and after consultation with the Major League Baseball Players Association, Commissioner Robert D. Manfred, Jr. today, March 12, announced that MLB has decided to suspend Spring Training games and to delay the start of the 2020 regular season by at least two weeks due to the national emergency created by the coronavirus pandemic.  “This action is being taken in the interests of the safety and well-being of our players, Clubs and our millions of loyal fans,” said Manfred. BULLHEAD CITY  – The Bullhead Fire Department (BHCFD) was recently chosen as a grant recipient of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). This grant is a federally funded program that allows selected applicants to obtain funds to address a wide variety of community needs. In order to be successful, the public’s assistance is needed. During March, if you live near/around District Six (2025 Clearwater Dr.), BHCFD crews and CERT team members will be out conducting a special survey required by the State of Arizona. MOHAVE COUNTY – The three mayors and three city managers from Bullhead City, Kingman and Lake Havasu City met Tuesday, March 10 with Mohave County Public Health Director Denise Burley and Mohave County Epidemiologist Anna Scherzer to discuss the COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease).
