KINGMAN – City of Kingman Mayor Jen Miles signed a Declaration of Local Emergency yesterday, March 17, in order to potentially receive state or federal relief funds, as they may become available during or after the COVID-19 pandemic. Citizens are urged to cooperate with this emergency declaration, especially those guidelines determined by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). There are currently no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Kingman or Mohave County. KINGMAN – Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) announced updated measures to address coronavirus disease COVID-19: Virtual Visits with KRMC Care Anywhere People who have respiratory symptoms are advised to stay at home and complete a virtual visit through KRMC Care Anywhere. At its March 6 meeting Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club presented Kingman Academy of Learning teacher, Stephanie Roundy with a microgrant donation check of $2,000 (shown with Rotarian Brenda Rhodes and club president Karen Brown). Roundy teaches third through fifth grades and will be using the donation for materials to be used in the Sensory Path Circuit program. This is an evidence-based, colorful, creative and playful way for kids to improve fundamental motor skills and build stronger sensory connections in the brain that are responsible for sight, touch, sound, and balance.

BULLHEAD CITY – Amid the Coronavirus, or COVID-19, pandemic, Mohave Electric Cooperative will temporarily suspend disconnects and late fees immediately until April 3. “The health and well-being of our members and employees is our number one priority at this time,” said Rick Campos, chief operating officer with MEC. “Some of our members are going to face a financial burden as this situation continues to progress. “Bills will become due down the line.
