BULLHEAD CITY – The successful operation of Dot Foods in Bullhead City and its push through the pandemic was discussed during Monday’s Mohave County Board of Supervisors meeting. Arizona launches program to assist rental property owners

PHOENIX — Applications for Arizona’s Rental Property Owner Preservation Fund, providing assistance to rental property owners across the state who are facing a loss of rental income due to COVID-19, opened today. Governor Doug Ducey announced $5 million for this Fund last month. All applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the entire amount is awarded. New ASU director takes helm

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The new Director at ASU at Lake Havasu introduced herself during the July 28 Lake Havasu City Council meeting. Dr. Carla Harcleroad is a native Oregonian with about 17 years of experience in higher education administration. Harcleroad job-shadowed her predecessor for about three months before taking the helm of the local ASU campus on July 1. She said staff is making optional education delivery plans for the start of fall semester on August 20. Princess Cove swim advisory lifted

KATHERINE LANDING – Water quality levels at Arizona’s Princess Cove on Lake Mohave have returned to normal. The swim advisory at this location has been lifted. The North Arizona Telephone Cove swim advisory remains in place on Lake Mohave in Arizona. Bacterial levels are declining, but additional monitoring is required for public health and safety. Currently, there are no other swim advisories on Lake Mead or Lake Mohave. Help keep our lakes clean by using designated restrooms and dumping RV and sewage at the park’s free sanitation stations.

Arizona Superior Court says Governor Ducey must give health clubs avenue to re-open

Victory Tuesday for Mountainside Fitness and other health clubs across Arizona who have been financially impacted by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey’s arbitrary shut downs. Up until today the Governor had not given gyms and fitness centers an avenue for re-opening. On Tuesday Arizona Superior Court Judge Timothy J. Thomason ruled Governor Ducey’s executive order to shut down gyms violated procedural due process and the Governor must give health clubs an avenue to re-open.
