BULLHEAD CITY – The Colorado River Union High School District (CRUHSD) governing board is accepting applications to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of board member Pat Young, who stepped down in September.  He was first elected in November 2018 and took office in January 2019. A new board member will fill an unexpired term, which runs through December 31, 2022.  Young’s resignation came too late to be placed on last month’s ballot. BCFD appoints first female Fire Marshal

BULLHEAD CITY –  Bullhead City Fire Department recently conducted recruitment for a new fire marshal. Candidates applying for the position endured a four-part testing process. Barbie Skeen-Barrett was the top candidate and accepted the offer to fill the position of fire marshal. The position oversees the Community Risk Reduction Division which responsibilities include code enforcement, public education, fire investigations, and other aspects of community risk reduction. KINGMAN – KRMC’s WL Nugent Cancer Center has enrolled its first patients in clinical trials for cancer treatment. The WL Nugent Cancer Center is the only cancer treatment center in Mohave County to offer clinical trials.
