As the Lake Havasu Avenue construction nears completion, a series of intersection closures is required to allow for paving work, beginning Monday, May 20. Closures at the Mesquite Avenue intersection occurs on Monday, May 20, and the Swanson Avenue intersection on Tuesday, May 21, to allow for base paving. On May 9, 2019 The Western Arizona Council of EMS “WACEMS” awarded city of Kingman Fire Captain Tanner Miller the prestigious award of Paramedic of the Year. Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) has announced that a 19-month project to expand its Emergency Department (ED) has begun. The expansion will include a new ambulance bay, additional waiting areas, and nearly double the number of patient beds― all in private rooms. To obtain additional space, the existing ED will be expanded eastward toward Stockton Hill Road where the current emergency parking lot is located. City Manager Ron Foggin has unveiled a new format for the work sessions and regular business meetings that the Kingman City Council conducts every other Tuesday on most occasions.
