Becky Fawson will be Kingman Chamber of Commerce CEO

A well-known local woman who with a long history of involvement in civic groups has agreed to serve as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce. Plans to build Perkins submitted to the City

Plans have been submitted and a permit is requested to build a Perkins Restaurant and Bakery behind the Safeway Shopping Center in Kingman. The Lake Havasu City-based Selberg and Associates architectural firm turned in plans to the city on April 19.    A 5,258 sq. ft. restaurant that will seat up to 257 people is proposed on a lot between the shopping center and Interstate 40 Stockton Hill Road exit.    City officials indicated a first review of the plans should be completed by the end of this month and that the construction permit could issue on or before mid-May. Pucherelli receives prestigious reclamation award

A federal agency has recognized a woman working to find ways to reduce the numbers of mussels causing problems in area lakes and rivers. The Bureau of Reclamation’s Science and Technology Program focuses on providing innovative solutions for water and power challenges in the western United States. BCESD selects district veteran Stewart as new superintendent

Dr. Carolyn Stewart will be the next superintendent of the Bullhead City Elementary School District.  Stewart retired from the district in 2015 after 26 years as an elementary and junior high school principal. The 4-0 vote Wednesday night is contingent upon Stewart’s renewal of her Arizona educational certifications.  Board president Diane Beardsley said the goal is to have Stewart start as administrator of the grade K-8 district before current Supt.
