Watson alone favored return, salary MOHAVE COUNTY – The hiring of Kingman Vice Mayor Travis Lingenfelter as Mohave County Procurement Director was torpedoed during Monday’s meeting of the Board of Supervisors. County Manager Mike Hendrix’ recommendation to start Lingenfelter April 6 at an annual salary of $102,000 was voted down 4-1. Only Supervisor Gary Watson favored returning Lingenfelter to county employment. Concerns voiced regarding ambiguous development plans KINGMAN – The Kingman Planning and Zoning Commission tabled a rezoning request during its March 10 meeting. The matter involved two properties being rezoned from rural residential to the C-3 commercial designation. The near one-acre and near two-acre parcels are both located in the vicinity of North Bank Street and Gordon Drive. Commission members Charmayne Keith and Scott McCoy expressed concern that a specific development has not been identified for the larger parcel.
