Paramedic lauded for life-saving efforts at LHC council meeting

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Paramedic William Bill Weber was awarded the American Ambulance Association Star of Life at the Oct. 24 Lake Havasu City Council meeting. Last November, Weber noticed an unusual light coming from the Desert Hills community, and acted quickly as bystanders advised that there were people still inside a burning structure there.   Weber evacuated four people, saving their lives. He is only one of three of the River Medical team to obtain this award. Lake Havasu City Mayor Sheehy also presented a proclamation to Weber for William Weber Day to be celebrated in Lake Havasu on October 24.  …

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Police Department was awarded grant funding from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) for the purchase of two CMI Inc.
