Bullhead City seeking transit commissioners

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City is seeking applications from residents interested in serving on the Bullhead Area Transit System Commission (“BATS”).

The BATS Commission makes recommendations to the Bullhead City Council regarding the development and maintenance of a public transportation system for the city.  The BATS Commission meets quarterly on the first Monday of February, May, August, and November; and holds special meetings as required. There is no residency requirement to be eligible to serve on the BATS Commission.

Three seats on the BATS Commission are currently available. The positions would begin immediately upon City Council approval and expire on September 30.

To be eligible, applicants should have a general understanding of the issues addressed by the commission or board seat they are applying for.

Applications are available online at www.bullheadcity.com, under “Departments,” “Boards and Commissions;” at the Bullhead City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 2355 Trane Road, Telephone 928-763-9400, Ext. 468; or email sstein@bullheadcity.com.

Appointments are made by the Bullhead City Council.  The City Council will consider applications to fill the seats at a future Council meeting.  Those submitting applications are encouraged to attend the Council meeting.
