Bullhead City Municipal Pool Ribbon Cutting

BULLHEAD CITY – The City of Bullhead City invites everyone to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly remodeled Bullhead City Municipal Pool. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at Ken Fovargue Park, located at 2255 Trane Rd.

The pool was closed for several months to remodel the deck and add new floor surfaces, as well as to improve drainage. The City entered a contract with JTR General Engineering Contractor LLC of Lake Havasu City for the project. The pool deck was resurfaced and sealed, and two new French drains were installed to improve drainage. Kool Deck, a concrete coating designed to prevent the surface from getting hot from direct sunlight during the summer, was used to resurface the ground surrounding the pool. The pool deck now offers better traction for wet feet, and a cooler surface temperature, making it safer and more comfortable for walking on bare feet.

“We’re thrilled to share the newly remodeled Bullhead City Municipal Pool with the community,” said Bullhead City Recreation Superintendent David Heath. “The pool deck has been professionally resurfaced and now offers a much safer and more comfortable area for our community to enjoy.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature a few words from City officials, including Mayor Steve D’Amico before the ribbon is cut and the pool is opened for a day of Free Swim.

“We’re excited to celebrate the completion of this important project with our community,” said Mayor D’Amico. “The Bullhead City Municipal Pool is an important part of our community, and the newly remodeled facility will provide a safe and fun environment for families to enjoy.”

More information about the pool, including pool rules, hours of operation, schedule, and pricing, can be found at bullheadcity.com/aquatics.
