Bullhead City Goldrush fire investigation complete, cause of fire still unknown

BULLHEAD CITY — The investigation into the recent fire has been completed. Findings indicate that the fire originated in the center RV, subsequently spreading to adjacent RVs on both sides. All three RV units and two vehicles were completely destroyed. Additionally, several nearby units experienced heat damage.

Tragically, one fatality occurred as a result of the fire. At this time, no further information is available regarding the victim’s identity. This information is disseminated via the Medical Examiner’s (ME) office.

The exact cause of the fire remains undetermined, though investigators note the possibility of an electrical overload.

The Bullhead City Fire Department wishes to remind residents of the following safety precautions:

  • Appliances, including air conditioning window units, should always be plugged directly into wall outlets.
  • Extension cords should never be used to power multiple electronic devices or as a permanent wiring solution.
  • Ensure that working smoke alarms are installed and maintained throughout your residence.
