LAKE HAVASU CITY – One man was hospitalized while another was jailed following a May 2 stabbing in Lake Havasu City. The police department said its officers responded at 4:20 p.m. the incident in the 3900 block of Silver Clipper Lane.

Sergeant Kyle Ridgway said the male victim was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. He said the suspect who fled the violence was identified as Donald Buckles, 26.

Buckles was taken into custody without incident after police located him on May 4, at a residence in the 800 block of Chalon Drive. He was transported to Kingman and booked into the Adult Detention Facility for attempted murder, aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.

Police did not disclose the nature of the dispute that escalated into the stabbing.
