KINGMAN – After an extensive nationwide search that gathered over 20 applicants and interviewing three exceptional finalists for the Kingman Municipal Airport General Manager position, the city has extended an offer to Doug Breckenridge. The city is excited to welcome Doug and he will be an excellent addition to our team starting May 3.
William Douglas “Doug” Breckenridge brings over twelve years of experience in airport operations, strategic planning, development, construction, and aviation business administration to the Kingman Municipal Airport. Mr. Breckenridge developed his aviation operations and management knowledge and skills while serving in a variety of positions at the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority’s two airports. Mr. Breckenridge is an active member of the American Association of Airport Executives and Airport Council International – North America. A Louisiana native, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in aviation management from Louisiana Tech University. Doug has been certified as an Advanced Airport Operations and Safety Specialist and an Airport Security Coordinator.
Doug has a wide variety of diverse airport management experience and has served at both Commercial Aviation and General Aviation airports during his career. As an airport professional, he is committed to safety, customer service, and collaboration and brings the right mix of skills for the continued success of the Kingman Municipal Airport.
As an avid history enthusiast and fisherman, Doug looks forward to exploring the natural and culturally rich areas of Kingman and northwestern Arizona, as well as the entire tristate region.
Joe Husband will stay on with the City of Kingman as Interim Airport Manager, until the end of May in order to help Doug in his transition.
