BCSD schedules annual title 1 funding meeting

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City School District will hold a public meeting March 12 to discuss Title 1, a federal grant program for school districts with large concentrations of low-income students.  BCSD and other districts receive supplemental funds to assist meeting students’ educational goals.

The annual Title 1 meeting starts at approximately 5:30 p.m. at BCSD offices, 1004 Hancock Road. It will be incorporated into a workshop for BCSD governing board members and the public prior to that evening’s monthly school board meeting.

District officials will explain BCSD’s Title 1 grants and seek public input. There will be opportunities for parents and guardians to discuss ways to improve parent involvement policies and activities.

Additional information about Title 1 is available at https://www.azed.gov/titlei.

Doors for the workshop and school board meeting will open at 5:00 p.m.  The Title I public meeting will also be livestreamed and available for replay on demand on BCSD’s YouTube channel,

The agenda for the full workshop and school board meeting will be posted by late Wednesday afternoon (March 11) at https://go.boarddocs.com/az/bullhead/Board.nsf/Public.
