Barbeque grills home

A Friday fire heavily damaged a mobile home in Lake Havasu City. Personnel from the Lake Havasu City Fire Department responded at 6:45 p.m. to the incident in the 1400 block of Sea Angler Drive.

“The neighbors advised they could see flames in the house and the residence was occupied,” a news release stated. “A second neighbor went to the east side of the house when he heard the occupants yelling to assist at a side door helping the occupants exit unharmed.”

Arriving crews found the residence fully involved with fire. Crews gained control of the fire within 35 minutes and remained on scene an additional three hours conducting salvage operations and investigating the cause of the fire. “Investigators confirmed the cause of the fire to be a propane barbeque on the porch of the residence,” the news release said.

No injuries were reported.
