COVID-19 update: 33 new cases, six deaths

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Friday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 33 new COVID-19 confirmed cases. Twenty-nine of those are in the Bullhead City service area. There were also six deaths. Three of them are in the Bullhead area and all three are previously reported cases. One is 70-79 and the other two are 80-89.  The other three deaths are all in the Kingman service area. One is in the 50-59 year age range and is not a previously reported case. KINGMAN – Public Information officer Colleen Haines briefed the Kingman City council Tuesday on the Arizona state legislative session that was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. She said the session was rather uneventful. “No bills that we were tracking made it. Burning Bush Bandit gets seven years

KINGMAN – A serial arsonist whom police dubbed the “Burning Bush Bandit” is going to the Arizona Department of Corrections for seven years. Charlie Balluff, 40, Kingman, was sentenced Monday by Mohave County Superior Court Judge Doug Camacho. Kingman Police Chief Rusty Cooper said Balluff had been connected to more than 400 area arson incidents dating back to 2013 at the time of his arrest a year ago.
