Bicycle Safety Rodeo offers safety fun for kids

BULLHEAD CITY – Gear up for the 28th Annual Carrie Edgmon Bicycle Safety Rodeo! The event will be held on Saturday, March 2 in the north Wal-Mart parking lot, 2840 Highway 95, from 9 a.m. until noon. The event is sponsored by the Bullhead City Police and Fire Departments, Wal-Mart and Western Arizona Regional Medical Center (WARMC).     A safety course will be set up for children to ride and put their safety skills and knowledge to the test. Music students honored

KINGMAN – Kingman Unified School District #20 is very proud to have 23 students selected by audition for the 2024 Arizona Music Educators Association’s Northwest Arizona High School Regional Honor Music Festival.  Auditions held on January 27 in Flagstaff assessed the technical accuracy of nearly 500 high school musicians through the performance of musical excerpts, memorized scales and sight reading. With one of the largest contingencies from across northern Arizona, Kingman High School and Lee Williams High School students scored well in the rankings with four Kingman musicians earning first chair positions within their respective instrument sections.  The honor music festival performance will showcase the region’s most talented band, choir and orchestra high school students on February 17, 2024 in the Kingman High School…

Dear Editor, Sixty minutes reported, on Sunday evening February third, about a gap in our border wall. The gap is reported to be about sixty miles east of San Diego and is a global destination for migrants from around the world. The news source reported that during a four day watch they personally witnessed about 600 illegal entries come through the small gap.  According to the report people from China are the fastest growing number of illegal immigrants coming into our country. Over 37,000 just last year which is a growing number. Stories were told about people who had sold…
