KINGMAN – The Mohave County Master Gardeners will host a Rose Workshop on Saturday, Feb. 24 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Mohave County Extension Office, 101 E. Beale St. Learn how to prepare your roses for the upcoming season! Discussion will include rose pruning, watering, fertilizing, general care and maintenance. The workshop is free and open to the public.

Nutritiion bar offers free outdoor workouts

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The gorgeous weather last weekend brought about a free outdoor workout class hosted by Charged Up Nutrition Bar. Many residents of Havasu attended the early morning workout.   The nutrition bar provided a live DJ to get the participants moving! The following day, the business hosted another free public event called Charged Up Sundays.  It was an early morning hike where the company provided attendees with smoothies along with a carpool to Havasu’s beautiful hiking trails. CHLORIDE – Chloride turns green Saturday, March 16 to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. This annual event honors the Irish miners who worked the dozens of mines around this 1860’s historic silver mining townsite. This free event includes gunfights, a crazy parade, gold panning, horseshoe tournament, vendors, bake sale, raffle, live music, antique cars, and so much more. The family friendly fun starts at 9 a.m. with the ever-popular Chloride Bake Sale at the Thirsty Miner (Elkhart and 2nd Street). Stop by early, the delicious goodies go fast.
