Bullhead City is once again gearing up for another huge soccer tournament this weekend that is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy by bringing approximately 1,000 talented youth soccer players and their families to the community. House fire destroys home; injures two

Two people suffered burn injuries in a Tuesday fire that destroyed a double wide mobile home in north Kingman. Personnel from the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District (NACFD) responded at 6:31 a.m. to the incident in the 2200 block of Northfield Avenue.    The structure was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on scene.     “Both occupants escaped the residence and were found outside by firefighters,” a news release stated. They were transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center for treatment.    Officials said crews knocked the fire down in 30 minutes and that extensive mop-up and overhaul operations were conducted. Kingman Police Department announces new office hours

Based upon a successful pilot program with the fire administration and engineering department to expand hours of service, the Kingman Police Department, beginning Monday, April 22, will begin a Monday through Thursday work week, closed on Fridays.  The lobby will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  It is hoped that this will provide the public more convenient access before and after regular work hours.   Police and emergency services will not be affected by the change in hours of operation.  As always, an after-hours phone is available in the lobby of the police department that provides instant access to…
