Minor injuries in PWC collision

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Operators collided personal watercraft (PWC) on Lake Havasu on Wednesday, August 28. Mohave County Sheriff’s office (MCSO) personnel responded to an area near the Island RV Resort after it was reported that injured subjects were in the water at that location. “Upon arrival, both occupants of the personal watercraft were out of the water and only complaining of minor injuries,” said MCSO spokeswoman Anita Mortensen. “It was determined that one PWC was following the other, when the lead PWC slowed down. Third Street Water Project Update

-New closure in place- KINGMAN – The intersection of Oak Street will be open by 5 p.m., Friday, August 30. The closure will then shift one block north, where Oak St. to Spring St. will be closed. This closure should last 14 days, barring any weather delays. Detours will be in place for street closures. A project to replace water lines on Third Street, from the Beale St. Alley to Pine St. will result in an overall, water-delivery benefit to customers. The total cost for the project is $104,000. KPD Honor Guard honored

KINGMAN – On Wednesday, August 28, members of the Kingman Police Department (KPD) Honor Guard where recognized for their contributions to the Kingman Veterans Treatment Court (VTC). The VTC has held 16 graduation ceremonies over the past four years, celebrating the graduation of 32 veterans.
