Fire department raises funds with softball tourney

KINGMAN – Kingman Fire will be hosting a co-ed softball tournament to raise funds for 1922 American LaFrance “The FROG”. The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, November 9 and the entry fee is $300 per team. The tournament will be held at Centennial Park, 3333 Harrison St. There will be lots of prizes that will be raffled and a 50/50 winners do not need to be present to win. Twiggs gets additional 18 years for drug possession in jail

GOLDEN VALLEY – An inmate accused of selling drugs while serving time in the state prison in Golden Valley who rejected a five year plea offer to resolve his case was instead given 18 more years in prison during a Monday hearing in Kingman. Donnie Twiggs, 59, was sentenced by Judge Billy Sipe. Twiggs is serving a 7.25 year sentence for Maricopa County drug convictions and he was set to be released from custody next July. Arsonist takes plea deal, faces up to 12.5 years in prison

KINGMAN – A woman accused of twice setting fires at a downtown Kingman property faces a possible prison sentence after entering a plea agreement Monday. Patricia Craft, 28, pleaded guilty to one arson of an occupied structure count, in exchange for dismissal of a second arson charge. Craft was jailed on June 20 for allegedly setting multiple brush fires near the downtown Kingman home where she resided with seven other people, including her own children.
