The FAA Book Club is a family-oriented group looking for new members willing to work as a team and help others when they can. Members come from a diverse variety of genres. All ages are welcome to attend, even if you don’t have a computer.

Living in Diverse America  

Dear Editor,

In my neighborhood we have a variety of people. We have Democrats and Republicans, Independents, Libertarians, and others. People attend different churches or don’t attend church at all. We have Catholics, Baptists, Pentecostals, Jews, and more. On a new street over from me I’ve noticed several families who appear to be from India, Mexico, the Middle East, plus several new America families. I live in a diverse neighborhood.

I haven’t seen anyone out arguing or fighting.

Havasu shooting deemed accidental

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City police have concluded an Oct. 7 injury incident was an accidental shooting.

Officers responded at 2:45 p.m. to a report that an individual was shot by two people who fled the scene in the 2300 block of Palisades Drive. Nobody was present when police arrived.

“It was determined that the injured individual had self-transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for injuries to his left hand,” sergeant Kyle Ridgway said.
