PHOENIX – World Teacher Day is celebrated annually on Oct. 5, and CASA of Arizona wants to thank teachers for the significant impact they make on the lives of children and for working with CASA volunteers throughout Arizona.
BULLHEAD CITY – A massive crowd showed up this year for the annual event that brings local emergency and civic agency organizations out to meet and greet the public they serve every day. This year’s turnout was larger than last year with well over a dozen City vehicles including the original 1948 Army surplus Fire Engine that was the first fire truck BHF had. The event showcased the many agencies that serve the residents of Bullhead City including a LIfe Flight Helicopter, the SWAT truck, the 1948 vintage Fire Engine and many more.

Tell me what I am missing here. All I hear these days is abortion, abortion, abortion.
We have had birth control pills for many years and they are readily available and dirt cheap. They are much safer than having to go through an abortion. Wouldn’t most women rather take a pill daily than having to go through an abortion?
First off, many years ago a stupid democrap SCOTUS made a dumb decision to make abortion a federal issue.
KINGMAN – The 2024 Mohave County Fair was a huge success, surpassing the 2023 event. Last year’s 2023 Fair attendance was 21,668 people and the grand total income was $165,534.
Parks Administrator Jeremy Palmer reports this year’s attendance was 1,444 more for a total of 23,112. The revenue was substantially higher at $261,127.25.

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Jennifer Lee of Lake Havasu City has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s Summer 2024 Dean’s List. The summer terms run from May to August.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.
