Students at Utah Tech University demonstrated remarkable academic performance during the Fall 2023 semester, with nearly 12 percent earning Dean’s List recognition. A total of 1,489 students were included on the Dean’s List, reflecting their strong commitment to academics. To qualify, students had to achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 to 3.89 as well as complete at least 15 credits. KINGMAN – The Mohave County Master Gardeners will host a seed planting workshop on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. at the Mohave County Extension Office, 101 E. Beale St. All materials will be provided or bring your own seeds if you prefer. The workshop will cover choosing store-bought or homemade potting soil, and lighting and heat mats. The workshop is free and open to the public.

Officer cleared in Dec. 29 shooting

KINGMAN – Following the investigation conducted by Lake Havasu City Police Department detectives of the officer-involved shooting that occurred in Kingman on December 29, 2023, Sergeant Kenneth Morris has been released back to full duty. The suspect involved in the incident, 39-year-old Kingman resident Andrew Romero, has been released from Sunrise Hospital and was subsequently arrested by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on a felony warrant for aggravated assault on a police officer. He is awaiting extradition at the Clark County Detention Center.
