MOHAVE COUNTY – COVID-19 has resulted in 672 hospitalizations in Mohave County dating back to the start of the pandemic. That’s roughly 17% of the 3,959 people who’ve tested positive in northwest Arizona. These are some of the many statistics Department of Public Health Director Denise Burley provided during Thursday’s special Board of Supervisors meeting in Kingman. Burley told board members that 3,572 people infected in Mohave County have recovered from the coronavirus. 217 deaths have been recorded. MOHAVE COUNTY – Supervisor Hildy Angius’ push to end Mohave County’s COVID-19 emergency declaration failed in a predictable 3-2 vote during Thursday’s special board meeting in Kingman. Supervisor Ron Gould sided with Angius, while the rest of the board voted to keep in place Chairman Jean Bishop’s March 18 proclamation. MOHAVE COUNTY – Television production will occur in north Mohave County later this month. The Board of supervisors voted Monday in support of a special use permit allowing Pilgrim Operations to film episodes of Street Outlaws for the Discovery Channel. “Isn’t Street Outlaws like speed racing or drag racing or something like that, or do I have my reality shows mixed up,” queried Supervisor Hildy Angius.
