BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Police and Fire Departments will hold the annual Walk Away from Drugs and 5K run on Wednesday, October 25th to celebrate Red Ribbon Week.  “We encourage all participants to wear red and hold signs or banners to show their commitment to a drug-free lifestyle,” said Community Services Officer Lorrie Duggins. The Red Ribbon campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program nationwide. The campaign began in 1985 when drug traffickers in Mexico City murdered DEA agent Kiki Camarena. This incident started the tradition to display and wear red ribbons as a symbol of intolerance toward the use of drugs. …
