Assault suspect turns himself in

Josafat Magos

BULLHEAD CITY – A local resident self-surrendered at the Bullhead City Police Department Tuesday after suspect images were posted as part of an altercation-related criminal investigation. Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Josafat Magos, 20, was arrested for aggravated assault at about 1:45 p.m.

Fromelt said Magos allegedly started an argument with a 59-year-old man at a water jug refill station in the 500 block of Marina Boulevard on Oct. 14. She said Magos attacked the man and kicked him in the head when he was on the ground.

The victim was reportedly flown to Las Vegas for treatment of serious injuries.

“On Oct. 29, photographs of the suspect from surveillance video were posted on the police department’s social media in hopes the public could help identify him,” Fromelt said. “After a few hours, Josafat Magos came into the police station and turned himself in.”

Magos was transported to Kingman and booked into the Adult Detention Facility.
