Alleged drug dealer found asleep at the wheel

KINGMAN – On Friday, November 29, at about 6:15 a.m., Kingman Police arrested Alejandro Antonio Amaro, 30 of Kingman, on multiple drug-related charges Officers responded to the report of a man asleep behind the wheel of a white Chevrolet truck in the intersection of Andy Devine Ave. and Airway Ave., and arrived to find Amaro asleep. 

During the investigation Amaro was found to be in possession of over 16 grams of methamphetamine, a stolen firearm, and the associated drug paraphernalia.  Amaro was also found to be in possession of several cell phones, and a prohibited possessor of firearms.  Based on evidence located on Amaro’s person and in the vehicle, officers believe that he was actively involved in the sale of dangerous drugs.

Amaro was charged with  felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of weapon during drug offense, possession of weapon by prohibited possessor and possession of stolen property
