Alleged drug dealer busted in drive-thru

A Peach Springs man faces mandatory prison after his belligerent behavior got him busted in the drive-thru of a fast food restaurant. Police reports indicate that Danny Powsey, 48, drew attention to himself when he acted rudely when interacting with staff at the drive-thru window of the Taco Bell on Andy Devine Avenue in Kingman.

Deputy Mohave County attorney Kellen Marlow said an employee spotted an open container of beer in the interior of Powsey’s vehicle. He said the food order was held up to provide time for police to respond to the eatery.

Officers arrested Powsey for alleged possession of ten grams of methamphetamine, packaged for sale. Powsey pled guilty March 15 to possession of dangerous drugs for sale.

Powsey faces a two- to five-year prison term when sentenced April 16.
