Airport improvements, TruNac devices approved at council meeting

LAKE HAVASU CITY – It’s election time in Lake Havasu. Three seats will need to be filled for the primary election this August. These seats are currently filled with council members Vice Mayor Cameron Moses, Nancy Campbell, and David Lane.

Board members voted and passed new runway safety area improvements for the Lake Havasu Municipal Airport.

Council members passed an agreement with the Lake Havasu Police Department for two TruNarc devices. These are hand held devices intended to analyze narcotics. The analyzers have capabilities to scan more than 530 suspicious controlled substances with one conclusive test. This device will serve as a tool to enhance public safety for Lake Havasu City.

Visit lhcaz.gov to learn more about upcoming meetings, or in case you missed it, you can tune in virtually by visiting Lake Havasu City – Municipal Government – YouTube.
