Agricultural vehicle hauling a palm tree causes outage

BULLHEAD CITY – On Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 10:30 a.m., 501 Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) members in Golden Shores experienced an outage due to an agricultural vehicle hauling a cut palm tree. The outage occurred when the palm tree came into contact with MEC lines. Crews responded to repair the line, restoring power to all members at 12:32 p.m. The outage affected members in the southwestern territory of Golden Shores, Arizona.

Outage restoration is very important to Mohave Electric Cooperative and every effort is made to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. Please remember, there are many ways to report an outage. You can call our toll-free line at 1-844-632-2667, text “outage” to 55050 from a number linked to your MEC account or use our SmartHub application on your mobile device to report the outage. With proper notification setup through SmartHub, updates will come to you.
