Fiesta Football Field ribbon cutting set for March 15

BULLHEAD CITY  – The City of Bullhead City and its community partners will be kicking off a celebration for the completion of the new Fiesta Football Field at Firebird Stadium in Rotary Park on Friday, March 15 at 1:30 p.m. The public is invited and encouraged to attend to help celebrate this wonderful new field in our community. KINGMAN – On Thursday, February 28, City of Kingman Mayor Jen Miles and the Kingman Clean City Commissioner Clerence Russell awarded certificates and prizes to top winning students in the 2019 American Recycles Day poster and essay contest at the Power House Visitor Center. Seven local schools, 33 classrooms, and 661 students from kindergarten through eighth grade participated. Teen injured in bicycle/vehicle collision

KINGMAN – On Sunday, March 3, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a vehicle vs. bicycle collision in Kingman. A 14-year-old boy riding his bicycle north on Sierra Rd. failed to stop at the stop sign at College Dr. The boy was struck by cross traffic traveling west on College Dr., which did not have a stop sign. He was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center and suffered lacerations to the face and body and lost several front teeth. Historic Beale Street Theater undergoing renovation

KINGMAN – In 2018, Kingman Center for the Arts became the owner of the historic theater on 302 E. Beale St. Their hope is to renovate the structure to become a venue for the performing arts. KCA calls what will be the finished theater, “The Jewel of Beale Street.”  Christina Michelson, executive director of the Beale Street Theater project said, “There is a lot that needs to be done. Romero takes plea for his role in double homicide

A Bullhead City man will spend at least 40 years in prison for his involvement in a double homicide. Sentence was imposed Feb. 27 for Francisco Romero, 26. Romero pled guilty to first degree murder for the shooting death of Daryl Ward, 22, and to kidnapping for the abduction of Mona Carter, 51. Romero must serve at least 25 years in prison before he is eligible for parole for the murder conviction and he must serve 15 years more for the Carter kidnapping. BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Police Department is participating in the Annual Statewide Vehicle Theft Prevention & Awareness month, which is a coordinated effort between the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority (AATA) and law enforcement agencies to help reduce stolen vehicles.
