LAUGHLIN, Nev. – Aquarius Casino Resort and Edgewater Casino Resort will bring back two cherished holiday traditions to help provide meals for families across the tri-state area. The 15th annual Christmas Tree Silent Auction opens on Wednesday, Nov. 4 and runs through Tuesday, Dec. 15, while the “Feed a Family” program will run Sunday, Nov. 1 through Friday, Dec. 25.
The Christmas Tree Silent Auction transforms the Aquarius lobby into a festive showcase, with every bid helping provide holiday meals for local families. This year, nine one-of-a-kind trees will be available for bidding, featuring designs inspired by “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Toy Story,” Christmas in the desert, “A Doggone Christmas,” “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” gingerbread; Elvis, patriotic decor and The Little Drummer Boy. Opening bids will start at $500, increasing in $50 increments at the True Rewards Center at either Aquarius or Edgewater Casino Resort. Guests who would rather skip the bidding can purchase a tree outright for $1,900. All proceeds will go directly to the “Feed a Family” program.
Now in its 15th year, “Feed a Family” allows True Rewards members to turn their points into holiday meals for neighbors in need. For every 25,000 points contributed, Aquarius and Edgewater will purchase a box of holiday food, including a ham and traditional side dishes, for donation to a local food bank. Each box will provide a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal for a family of four. Donations will support families in Laughlin, Kingman, Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City, Fort Mohave and Needles.
Since the program launched in 2012, Aquarius and Edgewater have helped provide holiday meals to thousands of families across the region. This year’s participating partners will include ACS Food Bank, BHC Homeless Youth Program, Bullhead Regional Food Bank, Colorado River Food Bank, Havasu Community Health Foundation Food Bank, Isabel’s Pantry, Kingman Food Bank, Mohave Valley Food Pantry, Set Free Church and St. Vincent de Paul.
True Rewards members can donate as many points as they’d like or make monetary donations online at AquariusCasinoResort.com and Edgewater-Casino.com or in person at the True Rewards Center at either resort.
