LHC Invites the Public to the Unveiling of the “Dean Barlow Legacy Loop”

Lake havasu City RONALD_FORTI

LAKE HAVASU CITY — Lake Havasu City invites the public to join the unveiling of the Dean Barlow Legacy Loop on Friday, October 23, at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Beachcomber Boulevard and McCulloch Boulevard. The newly designated name for the Island Multiuse Path honors the late Dean Barlow, former Lake Havasu City Councilmember, and his profound impact on the community.

Dean Barlow was a dedicated Lake Havasu City resident for more than 30 years. His service and generosity left a lasting mark on the community. During his eight years on the City Council, Mr. Barlow championed efforts to strengthen local programs and enhance the quality of life. He donated time and resources to the animal shelter, continuing education initiatives, and the local museum. He also helped fund the inaugural Havasu Shop with a Cop program and served on the Keep Havasu Beautiful Board, among numerous other contributions.

The City Council formally adopted the designation on September 8, following a citizen request submitted in accordance with the City’s Street Naming and Renaming program, which recognizes the public benefit of honoring notable community members through place naming.

The newly designated loop stands as a lasting tribute to Mr. Barlow’s commitment to service, community pride, and civic leadership.

The City encourages residents, visitors, and community partners to join us for the unveiling ceremony as we honor Dean Barlow’s legacy and celebrate a space that will continue to bring people together for years to come.
