KINGMAN, Ariz. – A violent confrontation at Body Beach in Lake Havasu City could result in a prison sentence for a local resident. Robert Cobb, 67, pleaded guilty to an attempted aggravated assault charge during an Oct. 19 hearing before Judge Billy Sipe in Kingman.

A Lake Havasu City Police Department narrative indicated that Cobb began recording cell phone video on July 19 of a man he believed injured his dog. A police report said the man confronted Cobb and that the pair exchanged words and slaps in the 100 block of Park Ave.

Deputy Mohave County Attorney Jake Chavez said Cobb got in his vehicle and backed up in an alleged attempt to strike the victim. He said Cobb then spun donuts in close proximity to the other man’s vehicle before ramming it.

Defense attorney Scott Ruffner said a recording of the encounter will be played for the court’s consideration at a sentencing hearing scheduled Nov. 18. Cobb is eligible for probation but could also be sentenced up to 3.75 years in prison.
