Opening of new Circle K delayed on Hualapai Mountain Road

KINGMAN, Ariz. – Initially scheduled to open the first week in August,  the new Circle K on Hualapai Mountain Road may or may not open by the end of the month. Supply delays are to blame, according to Orr Builders, who is constructing the new facility.

“If it finishes by the end of August, it will be a photo finish,” said K. C. Orr.

Orr said delay in receiving supplies is the primary reason for the later-than-planned opening.

“We paid for the AC unit back in April,” Orr said. “We’re still waiting on that. Also other delays. Just a lot of supply delays.”

Kevin Bush, manager of the Circle K on Airway who is in charge of hiring and training all positions for the new store, said he stopped hiring because of the delays.

He said he hopes to resume that process next week for the Hualapai Mountain location.
