KINGMAN, Ariz. – Kashia Davis, who was the Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center’s Coordinator was selected Wednesday, July 15, by the center’s board as the new Executive Director.
“It wasn’t a big shock,” Ms. Davis said. “I was surprised, pleasantly surprised, but I filled in for the former directors for two years.”
Davis said the center has a dinner twice a month on Friday evenings where patrons buy tickets and the center provides them a good meal. It’s a fundraiser for the senior center, she said.
Another fundraiser, she explained, was auctioning off gift baskets that have been donated to the center. Again, she said how excited she was with her promotion.
“I’m excited,” she said. “I’m excited to keep things going the way they’ve going for seniors in the community,” Davis stated.
