KINGMAN – The Kathryn Heidenreich Adult and Senior Center, 1776 Airway Avenue, Suite B, Kingman, needs more volunteers to help out with all the activities going on at the center.
Some of those activities include crocheting, fitness, Tai Chi/meditation, line dancing, karaoke, painting, hand crafts, pinochle, bridge, bunco, hand quilting, family game day, bereavement support and many more.
Twice a month local Kingman band Arizona Thunder performs at the center and on Saturdays a craft fair, with dozens of vendors sets up inside the building in one of, if not the most, fun and exciting place in Kingman. The volunteers and guests make it that way and Director Ray Joiner said only “B positive” people are welcome there.
If you’re energetic, positive, and looking for something to brighten your day, the Kathryn Heidenreich Adult and Senior Center can use you to help out at some of their events.
“It completely changed my life,” said Barbara Kaye. “I never danced before; I never sang and I’ve met so many nice people. It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Sue Collins, a receptionist, said, “I love it! I just love doing my job!”
If you can help or for more information, call the center at 928-757-2778.
