KINGMAN – A three-year prison punishment is stipulated in a plea agreement resolving a Bullhead City man’s drug case. Rogelio Godoy, 43, pleaded guilty to a narcotic drug possession related charge during a May 13 hearing before Judge Billy Sipe.
The conviction involves the Aug. 21, 2025 seizure of about 1,000 blue fentanyl pills from a residence at 1095 Holly Street.
Defense attorney Jaimye Ashley said the pills were found in a room that Godoy shared with others in what the prosecutor said was a “flop house.”
The drugs were located and confiscated as part of a follow-up investigation of a shooting that occurred in the same home the night before. Occupant Andrea Kristy, 58, was shot at about 7:40 p.m. on Aug. 20 and she died the next day at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.
Godoy was arrested at about 2 a.m. on Aug. 21, as police investigated the near seven-hour-old shooting. The mandated prison term will be imposed at a June 5 hearing.
The case against the Fort Mohave man charged with Kristy’s murder was recently dismissed without prejudice. Deputy Mohave County Attorney Amanda Claerhout said charges can be refiled against Tyler Nelson, 22.
