Loutsis gets 10 years for attempted child sex crimes

KINGMAN – A sexual exploitation case involving young siblings led to the Feb. 4 sentencing of a Kingman man. Alexander Loutsis, 42, will serve lifetime probation, following 10 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections.

The punishment imposed by Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle was stipulated in a plea agreement convicting Loutsis of two counts reduced to attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.

Deputy Kingman Police Chief Joel Freed said the case originated from information supplied by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. He said that inappropriate images of the 12-year-old girl and her six-year-old stepbrother had been exchanged.

The children’s mother addressed the court, noting that the ordeal has been devastating for her children.

Defense attorney Bob Heieck said Loutsis was honorably discharged following 20 years with the Navy. He said his clients’ service included combat duty and that Loutsis was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder associated with his time in the military.
