Fire Marshall Adler retiring from LHCFD

LAKE HAVASU CITY – After 24 years of dedicated service, Fire Marshal Nathan Adler is retiring from the Fire Department on February 24, 2026. Nathan’s outstanding leadership, dedication, and expertise have left a lasting impact on our department and the community we serve.

Lake Havasu City Fire Chief Pete Pilafas says, “Fire Marshal Adler has always advocated that fire prevention is the foundation of a safe community. His commitment to education and proactive safety measures has helped protect countless lives and properties. We are grateful for his vision and leadership, and we wish him a fulfilling retirement.”

As we begin the process of appointing a new Fire Marshal, John Boone has been named Acting Fire Marshal. Mr. Boone will oversee the fire prevention division throughout this transition period.

“Nathan has been a steady and trusted presence within our Fire Department for more than two decades,” said Jess Knudson, Lake Havasu City Manager. “His experience, leadership, and commitment to public safety have made a lasting impact on our organization and community. We are incredibly grateful for his years of service and wish him all the best in his retirement. As we move through this transition, we are confident in John Boone’s ability to provide strong leadership as Acting Fire Marshal and ensure continuity within the Fire Prevention Division.”

Please join us in recognizing Fire Marshal Adler’s distinguished career and in supporting Mr. Boone as he assumes these important responsibilities.
