LAKE HAVASU CITY – Attorneys had little to say during a Lake Havasu City man’s Jan. 27 sentencing hearing because a three-year prison term had been stipulated in the plea agreement previously entered on behalf of Timothy Woodward, 46.

Mohave County Superior Court judge Derek Carlisle imposed punishment as outlined during the ministerial proceeding.

Woodward pleaded guilty early last month to one count each of unlawful use of means of transportation and unlawful flight from pursuing law enforcement.

A police report indicated Woodward accelerated away from officers during an attempted traffic stop on Aug. 25, 2025. A victim passenger who owned the vehicle operated by Woodward reportedly ordered him to pull over before he self-ejected into a Highland Avenue driveway.

Woodward reportedly abandoned the F-150 pickup truck on a dirt lot on Truckee Drive. He fled on foot and evaded capture until his arrest two weeks later.

Police said about 28 fentanyl pills and a usable quantity of methamphetamine was found within or just outside the truck. Drug charges were dismissed in the plea deal.
